New Paltz Rescue Squad is the primary EMS response agency for the Town and Village of New Paltz, Town of Lloyd, Town of Gardiner, and Hamlet of Modena as well as the primary ALS and secondary BLS response agency for surrounding areas. Responding to over 6000 calls in 2024, the community and volunteer based agency boasts a 98% response rate.

In 2024, New Paltz Rescue was selected as the Hudson Valley EMS Agency of the year for its outstanding service. As Ulster County’s nominee, NPRS was among elite ambulance services considered from Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Rockland.
